Alicia now has 7 more treatments to go and if all goes well will be flying back home on the 13th april . She can't wait bless her. It will be a bit of an eye opener for her as they are busy decorating prior to moving in on the 10th. All the plaster paint paper etc will need to be dry by tuesday to help prevent her catching an infection. It's coming along well although two of the bedroom ceilings need to be redone after being ruined due to an unknown leaky roof.
We can't wait to see her again she has been so brave.

Alicia is a happy bubbly little three year old girl. She was diagnosed with and started chemo for her brain tumour at just 11 months old. She started making steady progress and the doctors were hopeful that she had turned a corner but sadly at her last appointment doctors informed her mum it was growing again. It isn't a problem in adults but in children can kill the only treatment available now is in the usa and the health service will part fund it but we have to find the rest, up to around £50,000 her mum has been told. Her brothers Thomas aged 8 and Joshua aged 7 are as yet unaware that there is potentially a problem. They were heartbroken last time when she was having chemo so at the moment they have no idea.
Update Alicias mum has now discovered she is having twin girls in may.
Alicia is flying to jacksonville on the 14th feb for a round of proton radiotherapy.

Alicia's big day
Well Alicia left home this morning at 6.30am for the trip to the airport with her grandad pete and her auntie emma for her trip to jacksonville for her proton he has to be fitted for a mask on mon/ tues then her treatment will start. She was very brave and skipped happily down the path to the waiting minibus . No tears from Alicia but plenty from her mum and everyone after she'd gone. What a brave girl and here's hoping all goes well for her. Thank you for all your help and support . Without you all i don't think we'd have got this far.
